315 Ensemble

Formed in 2016, 315 Ensemble is led by guitarist/composer/sound artist Chris Cresswell. The mission of the ensemble is two-fold: First, the ensemble is dedicated to exploring Cresswell's interest in electro-acoustic music. Second, the work is dedicated to commissioning exciting composers from around the world. In 2016-2017, the ensemble made their debut at the Quarter Horse Coffee Shop in Birmingham, England. They also participated in the 2017 Frontiers Festival, performing at Centrala in Digbeth. The ensemble has commissioned new works by Daniel Sutheran, Chloe Knibbs, Emily Levy, Patrick Ellis, Rob Crehan, and Kevin Baldwin.
